I know you guys are probably getting tired of hearing this, but....
I won't be on here for a few days. I will be gone from Wed. [8/6/08] until Sunday night [8/10/08] or Monday [8/11/08]. I may not be online as much. I'm sure I'll get the chance to jump online off & on, but I'm not sure I will be able to update.
I have some family events & then just some other events going on. Some fun; some not. But it's all happening in one week. I'm not even going to be in town the whole time.
So I just wanted to let you guys know. I didn't fall off the face of the Earth, & I will be back lol.
I do want to eventually come up with more posts & such. There's just been a lot going on lately.
I apologize for the lack of updates & the inconvenience. Thank you very much for your patience.
Take care, everyone!

Making your own shirt.
I do apologize for the lack of updates.
I actually posted this in a wrestling related blog of mine, but I realized it would actually work here as well! It may or may not be slightly edited, but pretty much the same directions, suggestions, ect.
I'll be going to a WWE [World Wrestling Entertainment, I'm a huge fan] event this summer. I was going to wear my Randy Orton [one of my favorite wrestlers] t-shirt, but I don't really like to wear t-shirts in the heat. So I'm thinking of making one.
I'm not sure what I'm putting on yet, but I'm going to go find something to put on the shirt. I'll probably save it as a PNG, so that way, the color won't bleed. I'll have to see if the program accepts pictures as a PNG. I'm going to buy either a black or white baby doll [woman's] shirt. Then using a Hanes T-Shirt Creator program on the computer -& special transfer paper- I'll print out the logo & iron it on. Wa-la! A new Randy Orton shirt.
Anyone can do that. But I wouldn't recommend selling them. If caught, you can get in some sort of legal trouble for that, I'm sure. Especially using one of his WWE logos or pictures.
Anyways, here's what you can use.
Now, I'm not sure if that's the EXACT one we have, because I haven't used it in forever. But you can always look around.
What you would need are t-shirt transfer sheets. I guess you could try these, or look around to see what it is you need. Don't be afraid to e-mail someone at Amazon; or ask someone is a store. If you search Amazon, I searched "T-shirt paper"; or you could search "t-shirt transfer paper", "transfer paper", ect. To look for the computer paper & actual t-shirt makers, just search "T-Shirt Makers", "Hanes T-Shirt Makers" [or another company if you know of any], ect.
Note: Dark t-shirt transfers will cost more than light t-shirt transfers almost anywhere you go. This is why I have not decided if I will be making a dark or light shirt yet.
Also, you can always just do the iron-on letters. I've done that before, but I think I'd rather print out what I want this time.
And of course, you can get your shirt [or hat, or whatever you want to use] at most craft stores, or just get them from clothing stores. I'd suggest something plain. As for material, I'd say look around & see what is suggested. I'll probably end up using cotton, if that's what's sold at the craft stores. I'm not totally sure, so you'll have to do that bit of research yourself.
That's about it! Take care, everyone! :)

Beading.
So, does anyone here like to bead?
I love it. I've made my own jewelry, plus gifts for other people. I've made bracelets, necklaces, & key chains. My sister likes to make those, plus bookmarks. Heck, her kids love to bead as well! It's fun!
Going bead shopping is always fun, & sometimes even time consuming [good to do if you're bored with money to spare]. There are so many different types of beads - varying not only by color, but size & shape. And it doesn't even stop there. You can get different sorts of string, wire, clasps [such as lobster claw - my favorite type], charms, ect. Plus there are tool sets, beading boards [holds your beads & helps you to stay organized while working], storage containers, bags to store everything, ect. There are just so many things you can get!
I've made jewelry & key chains with my name on it; & the same with my family & friends' names on them. I'm also a big pro-wrestling fan, so of course I've made jewelry with my favorite wrestlers' names on them, which makes it easy to have fan merchandise when you don't have the money to buy any yourself.
I have so many beads it's not even funny. Some are packed away [for now], & some are right downstairs in the basement. I have containers, tool sets, charms, ect. - things I named earlier in this post. One of my favorite types of beads are the round alphabet beads. I especially love the white ones with the colorful letters on them. :-)
I recently bought tiny beads and made 2 bracelets out of them [one dark blue; one multicolored]. I still want to make a pink bracelet with them as well. I also have beads that look like roses, which I recently used to make a key chain for a friend for her birthday. And of course, I always have alphabet beads handy. :-)
I think I've been into making my own jewelry since I was a kid; getting the little sets at the toy store & opening them right when we would get home from shopping. I started really beading years ago & it's just a hobby I've grown to love. Actually, all this talk of beading makes me want to go bead right now!
I definitely recommend beading to anyone who has never tried it yet. It does take patience, especially when working with smaller beads, but once you get the hang of it - you'll love the hobby & coming up with things to make! :-D
By the way - always look around books, sites, ect. for ideas - beading can go beyond jewelry & keychains.
Here are just some products to help you get started with beading, or to add more to your collection! :D
...Or if you want to spend money on me, add more to my collection [no - I'm kidding lol!]. ;-p
Just as I said, they come in all different shapes, colors, & sizes.
Oooh, this looks like something my sister would like.
See, I told you there were bead tool sets. ;-)
This could be of help, especially if you've never beaded or beaded with wire before.
We can't forget the wire, now can we?
Ooooh! These are so pretty:
Alright, I think that's enough to help you get started for now lol. If you'd like me to find more links to post, feel free to comment me & I'll be glad to do so! :D
